A former district attorney from Mercier County in central Arkansas has been charged with accepting a bribe from a lawyer representing Bill Clinton. The charge alleges that Attorney Darren Laderhagen took more than $500K in bribes to look the other way when presented with evidence linking Clinton to the famous unsolved murder of his known mistress, Lyla Banks.
Clinton spokesman Charles Topher spun the story a different way:
“WHETHER OR NOT BILL CLINTON PAID SOMEONE OFF 30 YEARS AGO IS IRRELEVANT INFORMATION WELL PAST ANY STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS. THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE MR. CLINTON WAS INVOLVED THEN AND THERE’S NO EVIDENCE NOW. HE HAS A ROCK-SOLID ALIBI; HE WAS AT HOME WITH HIS WIFE.”
That alibi is probably the only thing on the planet less trustworthy than slick Willy himself.
Laderhager faces charges of obstructing justice, accepting a bribe and breach of the public trust. If convicted, he faces 20 years in prison. If the feds decide to charge him as well he could be looking at the inside of a jail cell for the rest of his life.
The family of Lyla Banks has expressed their gratitude that their loved one hasn’t been forgotten. No problem there. Nobody killed by Bill or Hillary Clinton will ever be forgotten.
